CCI Toronto and Area Chapter Appoints Murray Johnson as New Chapter President
Lyndsey McNally interviews incoming president, Murray Johnson
Murray Johnson, GL, CCI (Hon’s) has been appointed as President of the Canadian Condominium Institute – Toronto and Area Chapter, effective November 10, 2020.
Murray has served as a dedicated Board Member on the CCI Toronto Chapter Board of Directors since 2012. During that time, he has made invaluable contributions to both CCI-T and to the broader Toronto condominium community through his service on the Conference, Membership, Volunteer Resource and CCI-T Tarion Advisory Committees, and then also as Vice President. Murray is a popular and frequent presenter at the annual Condo Conference and is an instructor at CCI Director courses and seminars at both the Chapter and National levels. In his quest to continually improve condominium living, Murray has participated in numerous Government consultation meetings to effect legislative change for the benefit of thousands of condo dwellers throughout Ontario. Most CCI members will perhaps best know Murray as the lively and entertaining host of all four seasons of our Condo Connection education video series. When he is not appearing as host in front of the cameras, Murray has also been busy behind the scenes co-directing the Condo Convos videos and he is the voice heard in many of the audio recordings of Condovoice magazine articles. In 2019, Murray was presented with the prestigious “Distinguished Service Award” by the Canadian Condominium Institute.
Murray entered residential property management in 1992 following over 10 years of International Project Management and Facility Management with a large multi-national manufacturing firm. He currently serves as the Vice President of Client Operations with Crossbridge Condominium Services Inc. where he provides in-house Tarion and Performance Audit consulting to Crossbridge managed properties. Murray will look to leverage his professional skillsets relating to Employee Training and Development, and Organizational Development to establish goals and targets to further advance the mandate of CCI-Toronto.
“I’m honored that my fellow CCI-T board members and volunteers have entrusted me with helping to guide CCI-T through these trying times. We are learning new ways to deliver important condominium director and owner education and I will do my best to empower our team so that the best advances are yet to come”, said Johnson.
Joining Murray in his goal to continually improve the condominium industry are fellow CCI Toronto Board Members:
